Glendalough 13 Years Mizunara Finish Single Malt

This single malt stands out from the crowd as only Irish whiskey (so far) that have been finished in Japanese mizunara oak puncheon barrels. It’s maturation journey started in American oak, ex-bourbon barrels after which it was transferred to lightly charred, virgin mizunara barrels, handcrafted at Japan’s only independent cooperage. Notes of honeycomb, vanilla, apricot, and citrus pops on the nose, priming your taste buds for a smooth torrent of vanilla, fudge, rock candy, peach and marmalade to follow.
