Glendalough Single Cask – Calvados XO Finish

A single malt Irish whiskey launched under the Glendalough Single Cask series. It was aged for 3 years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, and then rested in a French oak calvados XO cask which had previously been filled with apple brandy. Upon pouring this golden brown liquid, you’ll instantly be hit by the smell of vanilla, honey and orchard fruits. The palate offers tongue-coating flavours of butterscotch, toffee, stewed apples and pears, cinnamon and honey. Only 366 bottles were produced.
