Kilchoman 2009 Vintage

This expression was released in late-2017 as part of Kilchoman’s Vintage series. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2017, this 8 year old was aged in a combination of fresh and refill bourbon barrels as well as three 2008 Oloroso sherry butts. It is non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. Each sip starts with lemon, citrus and butterscotch notes aromas that open into a myriad of flavors on the tongue – soft sweetness first, then peat smoke and ripe fruit notes. A long, clean and sweet finish with peat smoke and soft fruits slowly unravel themselves on your palate.
