Kilchoman Am Bùrach

If you’re looking for a unique pour, Kilchoman’s Am Bùrach has an interesting story to tell. This Islay Single Malt Whiskey came about when an unnamed stillman accidentally mixed together some Machir Bay and Port Matured Kilchoman while vatting casks. Hence its name, Am Bùrach, which is gaelic for ‘the mess.’ Great things are worth waiting for, and notwithstanding its intriguing history, Am Bùrach still packs all of the rich, fruity sweetness that a Scotch lover will look for. This is thanks to it being matured for six years in bourbon barrels before a six month finish in ruby port casks. This is certainly a whisky worth having on your liquor cabinet, to savour both now and later.
