Kilchoman’s The Sauternes Cask Finish started its maturation journey in ex-bourbon barrels after which it was placed in fresh Sauternes hogsheads for five months before it was bottled. The result is a super smooth, velvety and light whisky, showcasing caramel and vanilla influence of bourbon barrels, highlighted by the buttery sweetness of the desert wine casks. Classic peat smoke and citrus character of the Kilchoman spirit are supporting characters in this whiskey’s storyline, lending a distinct depth and punch to the whisky.
