Features

This limited-edition natural whisky showcases exceptional provenance and features the world’s finest barley. Waterford uses only Cooladine and Knockroe barley for this exclusive South African release. The Doyle brothers farm Cooladine in County Wexford, near historic Quaker burial grounds west of the Slaney River and Enniscorthy, the famed barley town.

The fertile fields, with free-draining Clonroche soils, combine shingle and clay-rich marl from Ordovician shale bedrock. This single malt delivers a complex, memorable profile. Its smooth character makes it easy to enjoy year-round, perfect for any occasion.

Colour:
Colour and legs that look like a liquid sunset.

Nose:
Malted biscuits, rhubarb tart, toffee, almonds, aniseed, white mustard, grass drying into hay, marshmallows, coffee cream, red apples and red grapes.

Palate:
Cloves, sweets, apples, black pepper, ginger nut biscuits, crème brûlée, liquorice, barley sweets, dried basil and sherry trifle.

Finish:
A spicy oiliness that tingles on the tongue and lingers into a dry gentle sweetness.
