Wolfburn Aurora

The second single malt to come out of Wolfburn’s core range, the Wolfburn Aurora is crafted with spirits rested in a combination of three different cask types: 40% in second-fill ex-Islay quarter casks made from Spanish and American oak, 40% in first fill ex-Bourbon barrels, and 20% in first-fill oloroso Sherry hogsheads. It’s a great carrier of flavour thanks to its 75 hour fermentation and unhurried, gentle distillation. The palate is rich and rounded, with sherry notes complemented by fruity and nutty flavours. Nonchillfiltered and bottled at 46%.
